Where are you located?

We are situated approximately 20 minutes drive west of Whanganui.

Do I need a firearms license?

No you don’t need to hold a firearms license to hunt with us. NZ law allows anybody to use a firearm while they are under the control and supervision of a license holder (as our guides are).

Do you guarantee success?

We don’t like to guarantee a hunt will be successful, however there are good numbers of deer across the properties we hunt and so far we have been 100% successful.

Can I bring my son/daughter?

Yes absolutely, children are welcome to accompany you as an observer or hunter if capable.

Can I bring my own rifle?

Yes, if you hold a current firearms license.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend you prepare for any weather as it can change rapidly. Bring some extra warm clothing and a water proof jacket, just in case. Sturdy footwear is essential.

Im staying overnight, where do I stay and do I need anything extra?

Our overnight accommodation is in the shepherds quarters. You will need to bring your sleeping bag (or other suitable bedding) and food for your stay. There are cooking facilities on site

Is the hunting truly free range?

Yes our hunts are absolutely free range and fair chase hunts of genuine wild animals over an area of over 2600 acres.

What animals do you hunt?

We target primarily fellow deer.

I’m not sure of my zero or shooting out further than I do at the range

We have a 200mtr test that we can try you on first to prove your zero and get you comfortable shooting at the sort of ranges you can expect on our hunts.
